In 1999 John Marino had a dream of developing a successful and sustainable business within the transport industry. Then, in 2000, Vince Marino who also had a passion for trucking joined his brother John to become Marino Bros Transport.
Their fleet originally consisted of 2 trucks, a 1983 8 tonne Hino, and a 12 tonne 1990 model Isuzu, servicing a number of small semi-perishable businesses. The business operated from a small office warehouse in Campbellfield transporting freight within the Melbourne metro area. The company grew through word of mouth as the Brothers, developed a reputation of delivering good old fashioned service and their willingness to go that extra mile for their clients, large or small.
Marino Bros Transport grew quickly enabling them to move into a 15000sq ft warehouse to provide a better service to their customers, as well as introducing the storage, warehousing and distribution side of the company. Their fleet now ranges from Ute’s, van’s through to B double’s allowing them to service single pallets through to full loads.
In order for them to stay up to date within the industry, Marino Bros introduced the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI system), which is a supply chain logistics management solution to handle their growing business needs. A Warehouse Management System (WMS) has also been introduced which primarily aims to control the movement and storage of materials within the warehouse.
In early 2007 Marino Bros also gained Quarantine Accreditation enhancing the service provided to their customers. This now enables the unpacking of containers, getting them cleared through quarantine and store/distribute the goods in accordance to our customer requirements.
In 2012 Marino Bros moved back to Campbellfield into an even bigger warehouse of 39000sq ft. This warehouse is divided by a precast wall enabling goods to be separated if required.
Late 2014 the Brothers made the decision to change the name of the company to Marino Bros Food Logistics, to help concentrate on a specific niche as opposed to a broad range of products, that can’t be transported alongside food.
Marino have since grown out of the Campbellfield site and made the move to 22 Judge st Sunshine in are more versatile warehouse which has enabled the company to grow much faster and service our clients more efficiently.
In 2021 Marino Bros have recently been approved for the Treatment of Quarantine goods subject to bio security control via a Heat Treatment chamber. (see Heat Treatment in our services offered)
